About

Hi, welcome to my blog, where I write about random things, loosely work-related. My primary interests are computer software and managing software engineering teams in startup companies. In 1989, I joined Logic Works, Inc. as a founding member, doubling the size of the company at the time. We grew to 250 employees by the time we went public in 1996, and I’ve been hooked on startups ever since.

In the Fall of 2013, I joined SiriusXM, where I manage a new program to deliver data over the internet. Before that I was VP of Engineering at Semandex Networks, Inc. inside the interestingly insane world of the US defense and intelligence industry.

I’m on twitter as jeffdm63, in case you need a portable fix of nothing much about anything.

    Hi! Jeff:

I can’t remember how I stumbled upon your blog but I am happy I did. I have enjoyed coming back to it to find new posts with very pertinent and candid observations. Keep writing – you have at least one hooked, regular reader.
